Yes, I can confirm that the glottal stop for /t/ is increasingly widespread, and is now common amongst young people in the Black Country  (That's half way up England, for those with even less geography than me, and about 100 miles from Cockneyville, with a number diverse dialects in the way)
 
It appears to be a fashion thing.  Whether it survives remains to be seen.
