All the references I have read to the Celtic word 'eburo' note it's meaning as 'yew tree'. It occurs in many place-names in continental Europe and in Wales.

In 'The Gaulish Language' Jean-Yves Lambert gives the meaning as 'sanglier' (related to 'boar???)

Can anyone throw any light on this issue.
