Some more information about the Albanian manuscript from 1210.

The person who found it Dr. Musa Ahmeti has been digging in the
Secret Archives of Vatican since 1995.
1996 he reports Albanian media that "Meshari" of Gjon Buzuku is
missing from those Archives.

Anyway he get´s in touch with some experienced people working at the
Archives and famous researchers who help him in his hunting of the
work Nino Borgia has talked about with Dr.Eqerem Çabej 1940. Borgia
has told Çabej that he has found a written document in Albanian wich
is much older then Buzuku´s. Borgia dies buring the secret with him.

1998, after about 3 years of searching Ahmeti (who lives in Croatia)
finds a manuscript whose title is not written properly and completely
in the register of the Archives, and which content is not written in
Latin, Greek, Slavish or any other language but Albanian.

It is the time when Kosova is in the bring of a war and Albania is
just coming out from the chaos of 1997, thus Albanians have other
major problems to resolve.

Ahmeti decides to work on the manuscript in secret consulting time
after time some other linguists like probably without telling them
what this all was about. Since he likely did not have prior
experience on this and since there are no other Albanian documents
from this time to make comparisons, it took him 4 years to do what he
calls transscripting and translitterating the manuscript, which will
soon be published.

Dr. Ahmeti admits he might have done mistakes during his work, and
hopes that people with more competence will find and fix them.

Some kosovar magazine has bought the all the rights of publishing the
book thus only one phrase from the manuscript is known to the public,
which is the last one:

"Me ndihmën dhe dëshirën e fortë t´Lumturit ZOT (po)e mbaroj n´vitin
1210 ditën e 9-të t´marsit"

"With the help and the strong desire given by the blessed God I am
finishing it in the year 1210 the 9-th day of Mars".


There are 208 pages, written just on one side.
The pages between 1 to 97 are teological. Those between 98 to 146 are
philosophical. Those between 147 to 208, historical.

Under the historical pages the author has specified other works he
has consulted and chronics of Albanian cities are to be found.

The dimension of the pages are 28 x 39.5 cm. The manuscript is in a
good shape, but the color is disappearing at the pages 188, 189 and
192.

All written in Geg and by just one hand.

At the begging and in some other part of the manuscript some
beautiful initials are to be found. Three of wich are done in gold.
The most of the others are in red and two in blue.

There are also three miniatures mostly in gold showing biblic moments.

Dr. Ahmeti's way of keeping secret and presenting this document has
made many people working at the high range whith Albanian culture
uppset.

Dr. Ahmeti is known as a hunter of the old documents regarding
Albania and Albanians.

That last of dr. Ahmeti´s finding is a document (diplomatic act)
where George Scanderbeg names Martin Muzaka as his ambassador at
Vatican. The documents reveals for the first time the stamp of the
Kingdom of Scanderbeg. He also calls himself the King of Macedonia
and Albania. "Sigil (um)o Regni(ae) o Macedonia(e)o et oAlbania(e)".

This document is also to be found at the Secret Archives of Vatican
under Miscellanease, volume XXXIX, document 2398, year 1458.
