[Moeller] this is why I aksed because I was looking too for it
in Pokorny and could not find anything. In this order we have
to take the actually languages and see the equivalents of
these words. So we have:
_____
for bill:
_____
eng: bill
germ: Schnabel
rom. cioc and plisk
alb. Cioc ( c with a cedilla under it)
slavic?
baltic?
sanskrit?
avestan?
old irisih?
______
for claw
______
eng: claw
germ. kralle
rom. gheara
alb. ??
slavic?
baltic?
sanksrit?
avestan?
old irish?
_______
for crow
_______
eng. crow
germ: kraehe
rom cioara
alb: sorre
slavic?
baltic?
sanksrit?
avestan?
old irish?
of course , there is very interesting to see for all IE
languages what a word will fit here in all 3 examples.
