Sure. That was wrongly phrased. What I meant was that if *rankómus was turned
into ran~koms because [*]galvomùs became galvóms (plausible in isolation), we
would expect *rankómis to have been unaffected (because galvomìs, not
*galvómis), when in fact we do have ran~komis (without de Saussure).
