I got my lists from Onions' Oxford Etymological Dictionary. It does
not normally give Romanian cognates of words possibly borrowed from
French. It seems that Italian is the only Western Romance language
that may have inherited the word for celery from Latin seli:num. We
have not yet established the immediate source of Romanian tzelina.
