====GK: As to this first site, note that to say that
the Tauri were "a fragment of Cimmeria" is not to say
that they were Cimmerians. The Alizones and (some)
Neuri were a part of Scythia, but they were not
Scythians.

=====GK: This second site is completely misinformed.
What it calls the Kingdom of the Cimmerian Bosporus
(Panticapaion et al.) was not founded by the Tauri,
but by Greek colonists. It later (much later) became
strongly Sarmatized.
Herodotus, who was rather well informed about these
matters by the locals, knew very well that the Tauri
were not Cimmerians or descendants of Cimmerians. His
witness is preferable to that of 20th century
ignoramuses.
