Forget the last possibility. As for the other two, I've never seen the word <farfechie> and it doesn't resemble any Italian words for 'moustache', 'sideboards', 'whiskers' or 'beard' known to me. Of course I'm not a native speaker and the word may be rare, dialectal, slangy, far-fetchy or whatever. Does anyone on the list know it?

[Moeller]
I was infformed  in the italian language farfechie = moustache and I supposed it has a latin origin in corelation with farfa < bhardha .If this farfa  >*bhardha is wrong then there are three posibilites:
- I was wrong infformed
- the italian word is not a latin word
- the rule  with *r is wrong
