Sorry,I'm late on this thread (I receive mailing list msgs only at the end of
the day.I completely agree with Piotr and would suggest "fortissime" can only be
a vocative here. So the last sentence would read::
"Deus, exercituum pellator, mecum esto,
fortissime"
English:
"God, you who drive back the armies, be with
me, O most mighty one"
