PIE for early stone-cutters or stone-workers

I find Steve's postings on the impact of neolithic cultures on
languages absolutely fascinating and original.

In the languages of Bha_rata, san:gatara_su refers to a stone-cutter
(apparently a neolithic, technical term). It may be represented by a
glyph called the 'device' (san:gad.a, 'lathe' or 'portable furnace')
in front of a one-horned bull on some inscribed objects.

What would be the PIE words for workers on stone, say, lapidaries
drilling holes into stones to create ring-stones, or drilling into
triangular stone or terracotta cakes to use them as weights to
strands of fibre for weaving?
