Executed for decades and centuries? Poor scholars!

But since I last propagated my new and improved Manansala list

http://www.angelfire.com/rant/tgpedersen/austric.html

some stuff has come up on the cybalist list:

1) an Austro-Asiatic Para-Munda substrate in India

2) old sunken coastal cities ibidem

and since, as I recall, what Hock offered as counter-evidence for the
hypothetical claim that PIE existed and was spoken in India, and that
the rest of IE had emigrated from there, was that IE Sprachbunds
existed outside of India and had for a long time, evidence that
somehow didn't quite convince me; could I ask someone to explain what
are the remaining reasons why PIE wasn't spoken in India (which would
be nice for Manansala's/my claim that some words in IE can be traced
all the way back to the sunken Sundaland)?
