Soesdala

I noticed a couple of references on another list to a
so-called "Soesdala culture" (in connection eith
discussions about runes). This is a location in the
Malmo area of Sweden. I am wondering if there is any
linguistic connection between this Swedish(?) word and
the East Slavic (Russian) Suzdal'. Suzdal' was in the
area of early Norse commercial interests. If the
linguistic link exists it would be quite interesting.
I have another source which upholds the Scandinavian
origin of Suzdal' but derives this from "Syrgisdalir".
