Iron Age Danish burials about 85 to 90 percent cremation as part of
the greater Late Urnfield Complex. The 10 to 15 percent inhumation do
not appear at all very similar to the earlier middle or late bronze
age Tumulus-like examples. Rather more like scaled-down relative low
status western steppe types. Also remember the introduction of steppe
horse breeds into northern germany and danmark in the iron age and
pre-roman periods.

Is this picture seeming any clearer yet, no?
