Polish:
 
Anna (common pet forms: Ania, Anka, Anusia, Anula). Hanna (Hanka, Hania, Hanusia, Hanula) is historically a variant of Anna with an onset-filling glottal glide, but it is now treated as a separate name.
 
Elz.bieta (common pet forms: Ela, Elka, Elz.unia, formerly also Bietka, now almost forgotten). There was also a variant with prothetic [h], Halz.bieta; its pet form Halszka is still occasionally used as an independent name.
 
Izabela (common pet forms: Iza, Bela) and Eliza (Liza) function as distinct names in Polish. There is little awareness of their history.
