An update on the current view of mtDNA lineages and their relevance
to the problem of human expansions, and some additional info on the
origin of the South Asian 9-bp deletion. It is clear that Oppenheimer
interprets the genetic evidence so as to make it fit his preconceived
notions, with no regard to things like realistic time depths.

Anyway, genes, languages and cultures do not necessarily migrate
together.
