What's the etymology of Rán, Aegir's wife? Has she some IE trait?
Perhaps similar to Domnu (<*Dubn- "deep"), mother of Fomoire?
A PIE goddess/demoness dwelling in submarine bothom, mother of Giants, like the she-monster in Beowulf story?
