Prof. B.B. Lal's new book, THE SARASVATI FLOWS ON - The Continuity
of Indian Culture, has just been published. It deals mostly with the
question of the Sarasvati (identification in the Rigveda, the Afghan
connection, its drying up etc.), the AIT, and with numerous instances
of continuity between the IVC and later Indian culture. Obviously
written for a general public, it's not too technical and quite lucid
and in a lively style. Lots of excellent illustrations in colour and
black-and-white, and very well produced.
