isn't it, Sergei? (though the normal term is <polyn'>). The Polish
word for the whole mugwort genus _Artemisia_ is bylica (derived from
*bylI 'herb, plant', same as the <-byl'> part, ultimately from the
root *bheuh2- 'grow', like Greek phyton).

Yes, Ukrainian and probably Russian dialectal (South Russia). The
reason I haven't answered yet is that I am not sure what that c^erno-
'black' is intended to render - probably the taste rather than the
look.
