OE twisla '(a tongue of land at) a confluence or branching of rivers', no doubt related tio Old Norse kvísl 'branch, fork', kvísla 'to branch out'.
 
Another example of tv > kv is German Quark 'cottage cheese' from Lower Sorbian twarog (PSl. *tvarogU).
