Actually, these appear to be two different cultures
Although there is an overlap in northern Germany they are for the
most part geographically discrete constructs. Megaron-Longhouse in
east central Europe and the Longbarrow mounds in western Europe. The
residential architecture in each area is very different.
Additionally, settlement structure in these two regions is also very
different. In fact, the design of passage grave complexes that have
been identified within Longbarrow mounds, suggests their structure
may abstractly reflect western Neolithic settlement structure.
Typically LBK cemeteries are also very different.
