Actually, you can transliterate it as "Chaikovusukii". Modern Japanese has solved the "V" matter. If you know about the kanas you know that "ha, hi, hu (fu), he, ho" can get those " and those º up on their right to form "ba, bi, bu, be, bo" and "pa, pi, pu, pe, po". Well, now they can use it on the kana for "u" and attach a little "a, i, u, e, o" after to get "va, vi, vu, ve, vo". If you don't put the " , and you attach the little vowel kana, you can recover those "w-" that got missed in modern times, like "wi" (for whisky), "we" (for west side story) or even "wo" (fried won-ton) and "wu" (er...)
