It is known that IndoIranian and FinnoUgric were in contact
with each other (in the area north of the Caspian, I presume).
This means that FinnoUgric could only have arrived in Europe
much later than IE, after IndoIranian was already a seperate
language (after 2000 BCE, I guestimate... if others
know the more specific date, I'd be giddy with joy).
