Perhaps I should mention the iron age walled place at Borremosen,
(borre- < borg, mose = moor) not far from Gundestrup, where the
famous cauldron was found, not unlike a Celtic "dunum", dated to 300
BC.
Another thing about language mix: The chief of the Teutones was
Teuto-bod, supposedly a Celtic name. The queen of king Gorm the Old,
Thyra, who was responsible for the building of the Danevirke, had the
nickname Danebod. -bod has caused problems in a Germanic setting.
(The Celtic -bod is supposedly = "ornament", "pride"?)
