I have a question for you all. I had read anywhere that in the
XVII/XVIII century, under the Habsburgen, were still alive in the
Panonian plain villagers speaking an Iranian dialects, 'relics' of
the Sarmatian established there in Roman era. Anyone could tell me
anything about?
Secondary: I was looking for informations about Székély/Sicui people
of Hungary/Transilvanea. Descents of the Huns? Of the Avars? Of
Cumans? Of Pechenegs? And what was really their original language,
before magiarization?
Thanks.
Alberto
