But Mac Quarrie is an Anglicization of Mac Guaire or Mac Guadhre "Son
of Guaire" - the -Q- isn't original (for anyone that it is wondering,
Archaic Irish -Qu- became -C- by the time of Old Irish - thus Arch
Ir. *maquos "son" became Old Irish mac).
