That's not a native Japanese number ("7" is <nana>). It's from
Chinese (Mod. Mand. qi1, OChin. *shit).

"6" is probably borrowed from IE (like "4"). "5", "7", "8, "9" and
possibly "10" are boworrings from Semitic.
