My horrible uncle, Jon Galster, liked to point out the uncanny
resemblance between Greek <theos> and Aztec <teo-tl> (as in
Teotihuacan) 'god'. I hrrmph'ed properly and said everyone knew that
'theos' was derives from 'deiwos' (Yes I know. That just goes to
show, something or other).

As to coincidence, I have now been persuaded that the word *d-n-n-
means 'coincidence', because every time I say *d-n-n-, everyone says
**'coincidence'.
