"Assyrian" is a dialect of Aramiac. Syriac is just another word for
Aramaic, but it uses the Syriac alphabet. Hebrew uses the Aramaic
alphabet. The language has different forms such as Syriac, Talmudic
Aramaic, Reichsaramäisch (official language of Persian Empire),
Palestinian Aramiac, Syrian Aramaic, and Babylonian Aramaic.
Ancient Akkadian had two dialects, Babylonian and Assyrian. This
ancient Assyrian has nothing to do with modern "Assyrian".
