archeologically registered on any Slavic territory.

There's a hypothesis some Slavs adapted the runic script (cf.
*buky 'written document' < 'inscription on a beech tablet' < Germanic
*bo:k- 'beech'). Try this if you need something 100% pagan.

Or they could use the Greek alphabet (pre-Cyrillic in that sense that
it was not revised appropriately to render Slavic phonemes).

Unfortunately, as far as I know, there's no Old Russian textbook or
(long) texts published on the Internet. You can find some Old Church
Slavonic material on the site of the TITUS project.

The only way I can help is to answer specific questions or advice on
some liguistic issues (Old Russian phonetics etc).
