Our Language-Origins group is subdividing into three sections:
1) Concern with paleoanthropology and an updated description for the
current taxonomy or how far back we can push Homo sapiens in light of new
evidence.
2) Concern with linguistics and whether language families (excluding
dialects) can be united into several mega families.
3) An examination of the brain (mind) and whether or not the brain of Homo
sapiens differs from that of other hominids and whether the mind itself
differs among Homo sapiens.
I am sending this notice to participants of palanthsci and Cybalist as well
as L-O looking for interested parties who would be willing to moderate one
or the other thread. The tasks would consist of a return email to the
participants and a weekly compilation of the posts with the idea of journal
publication in mind.
