What of the notion that Herakles comes from Hera - which comes from e-grade
of PIE *yer-a "year/summer" (from *ei- "to go") and is related to Greek hwra
"season" (o-grade of *Yer-).
Hera is "E-ra" in Mycenaean inscriptions.
