The problem is to distinguish what is "Roman" in Vulcanus and what is
influence of Greek Hephaistos. Some books stated that original Vulcanus was
a lightning god. The marriage of Vulcanus and Venus was a copy of Hephaistos
and Aphrodite's marriage (which is not Homeric). The Etrusques had Velchans,
but Velchans < Vulcanus or vice-versa?
