I know of no Egyptian myth that has Thoth as creator God. And it is
interesting how by selection of pieces of evidence from around the
world one can almost make a case for anything. What about the North
American "Thunder Birds" Joao. I feel we are in danger of doing what
various Christian sects do with the Bible - by selection of various
elements out of context we can prove almost anything. It is almost a
reversion to Victorian armchair ethnology.
