The question is "how East was East"? Uralics extended to west of
Moscow, and the evidence of mesolithic cultures is that the movement
was from the Volga cultures across the Urals and not the other way
(despite Glen's theory about the Uralics starting in the East, in
some
mythical central Asia :-) (Glen where are you, why do you let me get
away with probes like this).
