Thanks for the info. I quoted those references not as a serious study of the
OT, as this is not the forum for such, but as writings that I would classify
with Kamal Salibi's books on this subject (I understand he is a respected
historian of Lebanon and Syria) as being more motivated by the current
political situation in the Middle East, and as such highly suspect.
