Carvalli-Sforza in his monumental magnum opus I have quoted before,
reviews Mallory's work on the Urheimat of IE. The number of places
suggested seem enormous, and many of them overlap. Some are rather
interesting and way out.

I don't have the text in front of me at the moment, but I can remember
doing a count of the different locations as far as overlaps in location
between various researchers was concerned.

For instance three researchers have overlapping Urheimat's in Anatolia
(with Renfrew being one of them), four share a Danubian home (like
Piotr), six share a "kuban" Pontic-north Caucasas location, one shares
an Armenian location, w share a North Caspian Steppe location, and one
has southern Palestine-NE Nile delta (homeland of the Natufians and
Hyksos perhaps!)

Perhaps we can do a poll?
