It's multiLATERAL (or MASS), not multiCULTURAL comparison.

        Gerry, we discussed these things on Cybalist some time ago and I
wouldn't like to repeat myself ad nauseam. I have no difficulty with the
CONCEPT of Proto-World (though I'm agnostic about the ultimate
monogenesis of language), but with the way some enthusiasts
"reconstruct" it.

Do you have your own construct for Proto-world?

No. I don't think it will ever be reconstructed, even the smallest fragment of it. The time depths involved are too immense. It's also possible that language is polygenetic, in which case a reconstruction of a single Proto-World Language would make no sense at all.
