Slovene or Slovenian

Carniola is a nice name and I must say I admire your knowledge. There's just
one obstacle: it's not the whole today's Slovenia. Nevertheless, maybe we
could avoid some mess if we started using this name for a change. For
instance, he Slovaks and the Slovenes both call their language "slovensko"
and women of both nationalities call ourselves "Slovenka". No wonder others
have problems with these names.

And yes, you were right about the lost battle. It's your language after all.
